About me

Areas of Expertise: While I treat all psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, etc. my training and experience has lead to focus on certain populations. I have had three years of extensive training post graduate in working with trauma resolution, dissociation and survivor issues. I have also have significant experience working with the elderly population and those with chronic pain issues including the losses involved.

Education and Degree: BS degree with a double major in Social Work and Psychology from Columbia College. MSW degree with a focus on Individuals and Groups from University of South Carolina. 

Experience: I have 35 plus years of mental health clinical experience providing psychotherapy in the CSRA. My profession has lead to work within the community mental health arena, private psychiatric hospital settings and finally private practice. The majority of my career has been in serving the Aiken Community, in a private practice setting and I am proud to say I am a co-founder of Aiken Psychiatric and Psychotherapy (APPA).

I am blessed and honored to work with people in this community to better the quality of their living. I especially value my work with women and the elderly in their adjustment to life challenges and injuries. I am fully aware that the choice of a therapist is an important one and unique to each person and will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
