Education: St. Joseph’s University, B.S. 1991, summa cum laude; State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton, Ph.D. 1998; Medical University of South Carolina, APA accredited pre-doctoral internship 1997-1998

 

Degree: PhD in Clinical Psychology

 

Experience: Over 20 years experience providing individual therapy for anxiety, mood, and health difficulties (including substance abuse)

 

Dr. Carrigan has been licensed in South Carolina since 2000. She uses a variety of cognitive-behavioral techniques to intervene with a wide range of emotional/psychological problems and difficulties in coping with stress. Dr. Carrigan has been on faculty in the department of psychology at USCA since 1998 and was appointed a Governor’s Distinguished Professor in 2014.
